The client
English Reading Adventures is a collection of interactive stories built by Antony Addy for people learning English. The reader is the hero: every page ends in a choice, and choosing well means understanding what you've just read.
What we built
- Every story written at three levels (A2, B1, B2), which you can switch at any time, even mid-story.
- The same path at every level, so a whole class can read the same book.
- Any word's meaning in one tap, in eight languages.
- A library of ten stories, with more on the way.
Design choices
The site looks like a shelf of novels: carefully designed covers, a storytelling mood and book-like layouts. English stays in front, with the learner's own language as a safety net just beneath it.
